Park & Ride

With our Park & Ride services, simply drive yourself to you chosen Dover Port car park, check in and take the courtesy shuttle bus to the port terminal. Both Dova Relyon Ferry Parking and Dova Relyon Cruise Parking are located 3½ miles from the port. Allow 45 minutes for registering at the car park and transfer to the port. Upon your return, a courtesy bus will take you back to the car park where your car will be ready for collection.

Terminal Layout

Dover Port has one ferry terminal and two dedicated cruise terminals, as well as a third cruise terminal catering for port of call and small ship visits.

Terminal maps

At the Ferry Terminal, after checking in, you will be connected to the port by an awaiting bus shuttle service. It is advised to check in at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure of your ferry. However, please check with your ferry operator before setting off.

Cruise Terminals 1 and 2 offer spacious and efficient check-in facilities. Cruise Terminal 3 is a port of call terminal and passengers travelling from this terminal check in at a dedicated gazebo space. Please check with your individual cruise ship operator for information on how much time to allow for checking in.

Leisure and family facilities


Baby-changing facilities are available within the Ferry Terminal and in all three of the Cruise Terminals, alongside the public toilets.


There is no special procedure if you are travelling with a pushchair.

Baby milk

There are no baby milk warming facilities within the terminals. You should check with your ferry or cruise ship operator for further information on warming baby milk when on the ferry or cruise ships.

Play areas

For older children, a games room is available in each of the passenger service buildings. These are located on both the east and west side of the port.

Information desk

The Ferry Terminal reception is located near the check-in desks.

A general port information desk is available at the entrance to the port.


Both the west and east passenger service buildings at the Ferry Terminal are home to a WHSmith, where you can pick up last minute travel essentials. Massage chairs are also available.

Unfortunately, there are no shops within the Cruise Terminals.

Food & drink

In the Ferry Terminal, you can grab a quick coffee in the passenger terminal or in the passenger service building at the Costa kiosks. If you are looking for a bite to eat, there is a Burger King and vending machines available in both the east and west passenger service buildings.

In Cruise Terminal 1, passengers can enjoy drinks and light refreshments in a stylish café operated by Riverside Catering. In Cruise Terminal 2, you can relax with a drink in the departure lounge and enjoy views across the harbour.

Both the Passenger Service Building East and the Passenger Service Building West offer free WiFi access to all passengers travelling with a mobile device.

Special assistance

Ferry Terminal

If you require special assistance when travelling through Dover Port, you should inform your ferry operator at least 48 hours prior to travelling.

Loop systems are available for passengers who are hard of hearing within the main passenger buildings.

Unisex, disabled rest rooms are located throughout the ferry terminal buildings.

Cruise Terminals

Both terminals 1 and 2 are connected to the ships by airport-style walkways and have wheelchair friendly ramps with trained staff to assist. Lifts connect all floors of the terminals and all washrooms have disabled facilities.

Driving directions

Ferry Terminal: From the M2, merge onto the A2 at Faversham. Continue along the A2 until you reach the Eastern Docks roundabout and then take a right to Dover Ferry Terminal which is signposted.

Cruise Terminals: From the M20, merge onto the A20 at Folkestone and continue along the A20 until you reach the Limekiln roundabout from which you can see the Dover Cruise Terminals signposted. Take a right on the roundabout and drive into the terminal car park.
