Our services explained
Purple Parking acts as a booking agent for SACP. We ensure that regular checks of these services are carried out to ensure a high standard of service and we constantly review our pricing to get you the best deal. Our service at Southend Airport offers great value for money and makes travelling easier. We’re an established company with on-the-ground experts, so you know you’re in safe hands with whichever parking option you decide is best for you.
Park & Ride
Purple Parking Park & Ride car parks are located two and a half miles from Southend terminal - just a 5 minute transfer on a dedicated mini-bus. The SACP car park is even closer, at just over one mile from the airport. Transfer time from the SACP car park is approximately two minutes.
For Park & Ride services, simply drive yourself to the relevant car park, check in, load your luggage on to the courtesy transfer bus, then sit back and relax while you are driven the short distance to the airport terminal. On your return, the courtesy bus will take you straight back to the car park where your car will be ready for collection.
Meet & Greet
The Meet & Greet service for Southend Airport is a convenient and simple way to park your car before your trip. The simple process means that by calling when you are just 15 minutes from the airport, you can expect to meet your chauffeur directly at the Short Stay Car Park (just past the terminal building on the right). The driver will have an ID badge and will transfer your vehicle to the off-site car park on your behalf, leaving you free to focus on checking in and enjoying your trip. When you return to Southend Airport, simply call the car park at the earliest convenience and your chauffeur will meet you at the relevant drop off point with your vehicle.
Located in Essex, approximately 42 miles from central London, and with one single terminal, travelling through Southend Airport couldn’t be simpler. The terminal building has a one-level concourse for departures and arrivals, with a mezzanine level for the first class lounge and Lakers Bar.
As a general rule, Southend Airport recommends checking in two hours before your scheduled flight. Check-in closing times vary between flight operators, so you will need to check these with your individual airline. The terminal opens from 4am until 45 minutes after the last scheduled flight. Any arrivals before 4am will not be able to enter the terminal.
Leisure and family facilities
Baby-changing facilities are available in the disabled toilets in the terminal.
Pushchairs can be taken right through security to the plane. However, please be ready to remove your baby for a few minutes while the pushchair is put through the screening x-ray.
There is a small play area in the Lakers Bar for children, with a screen showing cartoons.
It is now possible to take more than the standard 100ml of baby food through security, provided that this is for the sole purpose of your journey.
Southend Airport’s information desk is located in the pre-departure area next to the check-in desks.
At Southend Airport, you can enjoy browsing tax free goods in the Stobart Airport Shopping store, with up to 20% off highstreet prices on cosmetics, perfumes, alcohol and accessories. This service is only available for passengers travelling within the EU. You will also find a branch of WHSmith in the departures lounge for purchasing snacks, magazines and books.

SACP PARK AND RIDE
The problem was with the map issued by purple parking which was atrocious. The directions were not correct and I ended up miles away from the SACP parking facility and need to stop twice to ask for correct directions - which is not fair when you are travelling to catch a flight. The actual SACP experience was 100%

Better sign posting to the car park would be useful as it is tucked away at the back of an industrial estate.
