There are a number of Blue Badge bays available which are allocated on a first come-first serve basis. Courtesy buses have disabled access.

Arrival Procedure

Upon arrival

We have number plate recognition in operation at this car park, you no longer need to push for a ticket. Our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically. However, if you haven’t provided us with your registration number at the point of booking we won’t be able to automatically recognise you on arrival.

If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked with us please don’t push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you.

Transfer Details

Courtesy transfers to and from the terminals take 5 minutes and operate every 10 minutes.

Departure Procedure

Drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket for your pre-booked parking to be validated. Once validated, the barrier will raise. If the barrier doesn't raise, please press the assistance button and have your booking reference available to quote to our customer services team.

If you have overstayed your booking, you will be able to pay for the overstay at the exit barrier by credit or debit card.

"...ONLY SNAG WAS THE VEHICLE AUTO NUMBER RECOGNITION ON EXIT....IT DIDN'T WORK AND AFTER SPEAKING WITH ASSISTANT, WHO DID NOT KNOW WHY IT DID NOT WORK, RAISED THE BARRIER AND LET ME GO. "Our experience was great - easy to find car park and hassle free entry. The car park had plenty of spaces available and was clearly set out. However, on our return, it was not clear where the bus stop was to pick up our return bus (and it was dark and raining). Better signing is needed."

"Really easy to park and get to airport on courtesy bus. Then pick up back was fab bus stop right outside airport less than ten minute wait. Brilliant will def do this again . We always use purple parking but I must say Birmingham was a lot easier to get to and from made getter nag back home a lot less stressful on Xmas eve!!"

"Iv'e used the car park several times previously. Again I didn't use or need to use any additional service, simply parked and walked the short distance too and from the airport entrance. All good and just what I wanted. See you next time!"

"Return journey was a problem because there were no instructions on the print-out where to go to catch the bus. We went back to the same spot where we alighted 2 weeks before and asked the bus driver whether he could take us to "Purple Parking". He mumbled something and drove off. Taxi drivers nearby had no idea. It turned out that there is no "Purple Parking" as such, they are just the agent through whom we booked. We did have to take the bus whose driver we had asked in the end.More clarification please!"

"Some of these comments relate to previous occasions - always good value for money. This time our holiday was cancelled at 36 hrs notice (Egypt). Within a few hours of notifying Purple Parking we had a reply saying there was no problem and our money would be paid back on our card within a few days. It was and this is in line with our previous experience of PP. Will use again"
